This paper develops the student's ability to recognise and utilise the basic elements and principles of design. Students learn about the design process and design methodology through practical exercises and critique. This process also teaches students to look at, see and interpret their environment from a design perspective, developing aesthetic awareness and critical judgment. Students will work in both traditional and digital media.

Students who successfully complete the paper should be able to:
